And other John Deere fans also. The May June 1960 Furrow, from John Deere. I wasn't born for another 6 months, no wonder these tractors look old to me.
And just look how frail and small the spreader and loaders were, and these were the latest offering at the time. Things have sure changed. Bruce

I have almost a full set of Furrows from 1958 untill about 1980. It is fun to read the articles and see the ads. I also have several boxes of Hoards Dairyman from 1950 to the mid 1970's. Tom
 
Those two guys and that equipment were in a Two Cylinder magazine a few years ago. Only the photo was from a different side. I suppose when they do a "photo shoot" they take many photos and use them in several publications.
 
I have that one. I'm not sure, but that may be the last two cylinder one. I have to look. I know I have the NG of Power one, too.

My favorite old magazine from that era is The Farm Quarterly. Nice articles, and ads from all the major (and minor) companies. When you look at it vs today, Farm Journal and Successful Farming today aren't 10% of what that magazine was in it's day.
 
I have a Model N poop slinger; looks just like that, may be that model. Still has the original tires best I can tell. Cracked like a dry lake bed but still holding air like they were new. Works great. Bought it used at auction about 10 years ago and all it needed were a couple of links in the ladder chain and some grease. Currently use it for fall leaf distribution on my hay patch.

Not really. I had a whole bunch of those Furrow magazines and the wife threw them all out. She's lucky,just plain lucky,that's all I can say for her. LOL (Through gritted teeth)
 
I used to have several boxes of them but a house fire took care of them. I have 2 totes full of dairy magazines from 1900- 1915. They came from an old creamery. I would like to share these with De Lavel collectors.
