I have a Hobart 10,000 watt Generator welder that I use for backup. I switched it over and the lights were dim. I shut it off imediately and checked the voltage. It was about 90 volts on each leg. I set out to fix it today, full well expecting that it was a problem in the voltage regulation circuit. I checked on the avialability of circuit cards prior to starting to work on it. They seemed to be priced from $400 to $800. Turned tout to be the plastic fuse holder to the fuse that powers the circuit card.

If you ever do need a new control board. Check with Flight Systems. They can rebuild boards for some systems. Good price and a good product. You don't have to worry if the rebuild will work. It is fully tested before it leaves them. I have used them for over 35 years.
