Harvesting At Night

The good thing is there's usually no dew before rain. Around here it would be soybeans being combined into the wee hours.

We almost always get dew at sundown, but one day while I was harvesting grain this past summer, I was able to go on till near midnight. Forecast was for rain the next day , and it did. Really seemed strange running grain in the dark. You put up another bin or two Rusty , and you will need to put up a leg elevator to more grain from bin to bin.

Hey Rusty, did you guys get dumped on sunday/Monday? We git 3 inches here, and got lucky by the sounds of it, just to the east they has 5 to 6 inches of rain... one of the local elevators had a pit full of water Tuesday morning...

(quoted from post at 05:23:46 10/05/16) How many acres do you farm?
Just a small farmer here jon. Something under a thousand acres but it is spread out over ten miles on three different farms so it seems like a lot sometimes.

Sure did. Had a good three inches here but at least we dodged the bullet on the snow fall. So far anyway. But after three inches of rain the crops really can't get any wetter.

Really enjoyed your video as always Rusty. When we grew tobacco I enjoyed cultivating it at night when it was a bit cooler.
