when putting on curved chisel points do you alternate the curve every other shank or do you put all curve one way on the whole rank. Then opposite on the next rank etc.

Most chisel plow manuals will tell you the proper way as to direct trash away from frame members and wheel arms.and tires. It does make a difference and will save you a lot of plugging in heavy corn stalks.

I have mine set up so they throw toward the center. Don't know if it's right or wrong, but it works for me.

there are left and right hand ones, we as a dealer always installed them that way starting at the center of the unit, the LH ones went on the LH side the RH ones went to the RH side, this keeps the unit from jumping in hard ground, softer areas like many have it may not be as important, here in our soils you could not stay in the seat if installed hap hazardly

Same here- if turned to the outside, there will be an untilled strip in the middle.

That strip is always there, it just may not get covered if the points don't throw dirtion it.

Your manual will tell you corect way for each and every shank as what you think will be wrong acording to the manufacturer.
