OT-broccoli soaking in salt water

They say you learn something new everyday -my neighbor soaks her broccoli in salt water to gey any worms out before rinsing & eating. She showed me the worm she got and it was green enought that you wouldn't see it before you ate it.

Same goes for cauliflower and cabbage.

Doesn't always work, that's one of the reasons I blanch them. Turns the worms white and then I can find them. Not so well camouflaged.
