1986 3208 cat
Has been sitting two years now has two flat tires on drivers side with lean to drivers side ,on small side hill
Changed fuel & filter
Added in line fuel pump to assist ,pumped fuel to all cracked injector lines ,retightened ,retightened t valve at top of pump oil was at just below add mark guessed that was because of lean?
Tried starting with no ether turned over hard ,removed starter added new solenoide ,reinstalled starter turns over brisk with small white smoke at exhaust no fire
Little shot of ether it made it turn over faster ,tried starting turning over starte for 5 to 15 second bursts with ether every 3 or 4th time but no fire ,wore two battery's down ,no fire
Charged battery's over night ,now with fresh battery and bolster cable to tractor starter ,turns over but quickly slows down
No fire at all and ether doesn't speed up turn over now
First question ,there is no external low oil alarm and oil pressure gage never worked
Is it possiable for something internal (low oil cut out?
Thanks in advance for any and all advice

It's very possible the "rack" in the injection pump has stuck in the "no fuel" position.

Take the fuel cutoff solenoid off of the IP and verify movement of the "rack'.

There's a lever that a heavy spring in the solenoid pushes DOWN when it's "off", and a light spring in the mechanism pushes UP when the solenoid retracts.

You should be able to press it down, then the spring should lift it back up, if the "rack" is free.

Otherwise, you may not have got all the air bled out of the system.

Those engines can be hard starters and can also be
a bear to bleed air out of the system. If you have
fuel at all injectors crank it with the throttle all of the
way up. That seems to help. I ended up putting a
new injection pump on the semi with a 3208. It was
expensive but cheaper than a new semi.

There's no oil shutdown sensor on mine. They run
pretty high oil pressure so you should be fine.

Get rid of the ether. It will start when you have it all
ready. Forcing her won't end well. Smoke means
there's some fuel. I think it's not at all of the
injectors or at least enough of them. They can be
smoking banshees so when you really get lots
going you are close.

Check to see that you can hear the solenoid on the top of the pump click when you cycle the key. Make sure the lines are bled and the filter has fuel then have some pump the hand primer while the engine is cranking. Check to see if you have smoke while cranking.
