Noticed several years ago that whenever I 'barked' (scraped) my shin, the wound took longer to heal up than when I was younger & much longer to heal than my arms, chest & face heals now (73 yrs old). Trick my buddy TJ taught me was to put liquid vitamin E on skin wounds to heal faster. So on the latest round of scrapes I finally used liquid Vit.E on'em & sure enough the wounds healed couple of weeks sooner, tho marks still show as red places. So I drew my leg up close enough to admire the great progress & I think I see the reason for slow healing. The shin is a solid mass of scar tissue! From the ankle almost to the knee. Never broke/fractured the leg or had a serious injury but 70 yrs of falling over trailer hitches, plows & stumps & briars added up to one huge injury. Anybody else notice this?
