Hello friends,
The check ball that goes in on the top of the valve cam gear cover, has a slight flat spot on it. It looks like it was made that way. Can any one tell me if I'm right? It doesn't look like a wear spot. Thanks, Smokey

The oil pressure relief plunger has a flat on one side from the factory, it's purpose is reputed to be to allow air to escape for oil pump priming and/or to allow oil leakage even at low oil pressure for cam fear lube.

You did it again! Thanks a lot, the ball just did not look like a ware spot, but I have learned, when it's going on 70 yrs old, any thing is possible. See Ya later, I' sure. Smokey
