Spraying Linseed oil

I was trying to oil some flower boxes with linseed oil and tried to use a pump-up type garden sprayer. Because of the oil's viscosity, it would only come out as a stream and not a spray.

Can I simply thin it to spray? If so what can I think linseed with? Other suggestions for oiling a planter box?

I spray my hay wagon beds and manure spreader bed down with linseed oil mixed with diesel fuel from a pump-up garden sprayer

I thinned with mineral spirits snd sprayed with a garden sprayer on a wooden wagon hayrack.

I use a pressure-feed paint-type spray gun with compressed air for applying such liquid coatings. Works really well.

I spray boiled linseed oil thinned with denatured alcohol and it works fine. The denatured alcohol evaporates fairly quickly also.

I added a coupler to sprayer for my shop air hose , Enough pressure and it will spray.
Better have a regulator in the line. Can't remember the pressure but try 10 lbs or so to start.
I would think you would not have to go over 15-20 lbs.
