OT Postage to Canada

This may be a stupid question. Does it cost more than standard first class postage to mail a regular letter from USA to Canada? Getting ready to send something out. Have a postage meter here in the office but I'll be dipped if I can figure out how to use it to get an answer.

We use to have a relative in Canada-every year we sent them a Christmas card, and we always put 2 std US stamps on. That was before the forever stamp.

So I beleive extra postage is needed, not sure how much.

I have a camp in Nova Scotia so I have to mail bills quite often and after a few problems I decided to go to the post office it's much easier.

If you are not sending a tangible product, why not just send a (free) email?

If you ARE sending something of value and customs picks up on it the postage will be the least of tour $$$ worries, IMHO.

I just sent my son a Birthday card from AZ to A town near Montreal. The lady told me it took "two Forevers and a Penguin" A penguin is a 22 cent stamp with a picture of a penguin.
