Consider internal pump seal(s). Not sure if its enough to increase the level of the crankcase oil, (oil in pump) but it will if fuel can leak and drain into the crankcase. If the crankcase oil level is higher/gaining, more importantly, crankcase oil being thinned by fuel, you have to make the repairs before operating it, thinned oil will damage an engine in short order.

I would think the front shaft seal in the injection pump is the most likely place if an external leak can not be seen. You sould be gaining the oil in the engine oil. You would need to check close as the injection pump does not hold that much.

ya, it is only 2-3 tablespoons but i check it often ,used to be i changed with oil change and now check always , don't know why it is decided to leak only 2500 hrs on tractor

I have a 5000 with that same ailment, but has a lot more hours on it than that. I have owned it for about 10 years, and it has been leaking since I bought it (should have looked it over much more closely
before buying). I just check and refill a few times a year, but I do not use it that often any more, so it is probably more trouble to fix than to just add oil once in a while. I just add 15w40 same as what
is in crankcase, as that is likely where it is going. I doubt I run mine 50 hours a year.

yes , i think i will just keep checking level so that it doesn't run dry. problem is i stripped the check plug threads out got back in don't leak so i made a bent wire to check level at fill hole, but anyways thanks for the info,
