Looks OK to me. I am not an electrician either but it may be just that you have a little to much juice.
I had an Amish man do some remodeling in my home. He did ok until it came to doing the electrical wiring. Every circuit breaker in the house tripped off at one time. I guess he didn't know that a ground wire can not be connected to a positive one.

I work for a state agency and the fools above had the same problem. They put plastic conduit against a block wall then insulated over the conduit. Had to run new conduit on the interior surface of the insulation. Once the temps dipped they couldn't keep the lights on. Took the covers off and condensation poured out.

The Three Stooges had a skit years ago where they plumbed water lines into electrical lines.
Water started coming out of the kitchen light fixture. The cook was perplexed.
