Mackinac Bridge Crossing Pictures

Just a few pictures of the bridge crossing tractor drive. I have heard that there were over eleven hundred tractors this year but I have not been able to get the official count. There will be more and better pictures later as I was not in the greatest position to get the better shots.

Great ride this year, and I was so proud to be an American with all of those flags. The opening ceremony was very well done and meaningful.

The weather was just a touch nippy buy a lot of sunshine and I think everybody had a wonderful time. It sure makes a person feel good when several hundred people line all the roads and streets and wave to you and give you a thumbs up as you pass by. A lot of the time when you get a piece of farm machinery out on the road the people use a certain finger when they pass you. None of that here, everybody had a big smile and a wave and made you feel that they were glad that you were here. Great memorable week end and a big Thank You to all the participants, spectators, organizers and The Mackinac Bridge Authority.

According to Bob,there were 1,111 tractors signed up,1,091 actually crossed. I think that beats the RFD TV "staged event" doesn't it?

I think your numbers are right Randy, It was a bit ironic that there were 1111 people sign up and we crossed the bridge on 9-11. As one other gentleman said the opening ceremony was very touching and well done. Your numbers were the same as I heard but I could not verify it.

Wow next year if I leave south jersey about July4 on my CUB can I join you guys? Looks like a heck of a good time!!

Do they make sure all the 2 cylinder JD's run at different rpm's to avoid setting up a harmonic vibration??LOL!
