HOW many engines motors do you fellas keep runnin? on your place , or at work?. for you guys that fix jet airplanes and fergie tractors./// I mean chainsaws , weed wackers , tillers, gas powered air compressors , all the way up to the d-8 dozer and big budz brother ... and how many would you like to get runnin when you get around to it ,, it will take me a while to tally mine,,. , I would bet I keep 40 or more tickin ,, and probably 10 more needing lovin ,.. I practically fix everything myself ,, and send out the complicated stuff ,.. the knowledge and friendships I have gleaned and developed here , has made me a decent confident mechanic , that has helped me accomplish many projects , hats off and a Big Salute too All of You great mechanics and the young budding ones that realize there is no such thing as a dum Question ,

Well I'm 34 and if I can remember right I've got 68 engines I'm keeping or trying to keep going. Between tractors and stationary engines and mowers and such it can be a handful at times.

Well, I have 4 larger type ( JD "R" Massey 50 Farmall SC, Cat 20.
5 monkey ward garden tractors 1 sears garden,1 Jim Dandy, 1 Agricat, 1 1936 Vaughn, 3 Autos , 2 trucks, a weedeater, a lawnmower, a troyblt tiller, 1 tracked Bobcat, about 10 loose engines, all will run.
28? no wonder I'm broke, buying that much gas.

Plus 14 Batteries, Jim

Only about a dozen engines, but if you want a scary number, try and figure out how many tires you have to maintain. I was up somewhere up around a hundred and a quarter when I lost track a few years back, and that didn't include the "spares" I have in stock to put an impliment back in service in a hurry. Actually worked on two leaking tubes today.

Age 69. 13 tractors, 2 lawn mowers, 2 weed whackers, 1 leaf blower, 3 pickup trucks, 1 car. It isn't really a lot, but sometimes gets overwhelming. (Oh, forgot, the 720 Deere diesel has a pony motor also)

I got to counting tires a while back. Nearly every one has been replaced in the last 3 years. It adds up to a small fortune. I don't have but 15 or so motors but the trailers, wagons and implement tires add up in a hurry.

So far I'm at 20 that are run some time during the year, some more than others. Oh yes, I forgot, the Deere R has a pony motor so that makes 21. Thanks for shaking my memory Old Popper.

Two farm tractors, two lawn tractors, a push mower, three chainsaws, two weed whackers, two rototillers and a track cultivator. About a dozen outboard motors (maybe half of them run at the moment, the others are winter projects). Plus a pickup truck and a car.

When our family was young, kids 11, 9, 6. They wanted go-carts. dirt bikes, scooters. We lived Friday to Wednesday if you know what I mean. We had an old truck, and an pretty dependable car. And a lawn mower. I was not the mechanic I've become. I had to tell the kids, I can barely keep the car truck and lawnmower running, we can't get any of that stuff. Whats here now? 3 go-carts. 1 dirt bike, several tractors, two riding lawnmowers, garden tiller, gas powered water pump, genset. My how things have changed. gobble
