Hi. Just found this group. I was on craigslist and saw this project and was wondering a general value price on it. Not sure what to offer. I figure it is worth just over $1000 in scrap, but I don't want to do that. Current owner said it needs at least a hood, gas tank and seat. Would offering $500 be an insult? Tractor data says there were 3000 of these made. Thanks in advance for any info.[/b]
 
First of all a picture will help. Second Massey Harris didn't make the GP until
the 1930's. If was made in 1918 it may be a # 2. Is this tractor a 2or 4 wheel
drive?

The person from craigslist said it has a date on it; 1918 pat. also said it has a hercules 4 cylinder engine. it is a four wheel drive model that looks exactly like the gp on tractor data (just rusty). is this a rare/ unique tractor like i think it is? i can send more pics if it would help.
 
That is a GP. They built those with the Hercules engine from 1930-36. As for as
value, I have seen some in that condition complete, all sheet metal and gas
tank go for $5-6K. But that's in my area. Your area may be less or more.
