Hay rake. Which one?

Looking at three side delivery rakes, and want some opinions. New Holland 258, 260, and John Deere 350. All in close to same condition, all within a hundred dollars of same price. Mostly using it to rake windrows together. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance

Is that JD 350 a 3 point rake?

I ran one 2 seasons at the neighbors behind a Ford 3400. AWESOME rake, and it seemed to do well at a lower rpm, even in thicker hay...

Simple, worked well, etc. I would give it 2 thumbs up!

I have a 350 JD. I have the tongue on it but often wondered about switching it to 3pt. The pto drive is nice in tight corners as long as you don't turn to sharp.

The one I was running was a 3 point (I didn't specify that).

I thought it was just grand for straight stretches, but took a little learning to do corners. Nothing bad, you just need to do things differently than with a trailed rake. Did do a VERY good job though!!

I really like my 3 pt JD350 rake. Very simple design, rakes very well, nimble mounted to the tractor. PTO speed is nice vs ground drive. I like I can pick it up behind the tractor too.

I don't know about your numbers but NH and JD parallel bar (some call side discharge but every rake I ever saw was to, and did, side discharge) rakes are the norm with green predominant. My main rakes over the years have been the 600 series JDs in the 9 ft length which is what what you want for combining windrows, from a 9' swather or sickle. A 7 ft makes for an extra trip unless you have a 6' cutter, but a 9' does a faster job on that too.

I have ben using a spin type rake for several years and I don't think I would care to go back to a roll bar rake. The spin rakes toss the hay into a windrow that is loose and fluffy and It helps speed up the drying process.

We use a JD 350 3point. Will rake anything. Can lift it up and fix corners. Also I can hook up without getting off tractor. Then fold up stand and hookup PTO.
