I saw a Wayne truck at Mahomet, IL one night that had exhaust pipes simular to that. It was a long nose Pete and the pipes came out of the hood just behind the front tires and went under the steps, then discharged in front of front axle. Looked like he had adequate ground clearance but I would have thought the tires would have gotten hot.
