Rusted away water pipes...

Does anyone have any experience in dealing with these old JD water pipes? This photo is of an upper water pipe on an unstyled JD A. Will this little piece missing on the water pipe cause leaks in your opinion? Is there some sort of a collar that I could put on the end to help create s tighter fit on the rubber hose?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I put a longer hose on my 39 A and clamped it down till it sealed. I also like to put some silicone on the pipe where the clamp will be.

On my "B" I went to a muffler shop and had him bend me a
new one from aluminized ex. pipe. I sealed it with silicone
gasket goop and it worked perfect !! About $20...

The lower one on my 1935 JD-B is a piece of PVC pipe that is painted green. Been on it for 2 plus decades now
