Yesterday the wet weather and cool temps. subsided and the uncles started mowing alfalfa, here at Clinton Camp Farm. Mowed the strips around the farmstead, about 50A. 11:00 this morning the custom baleing crew from Beef feeder operation moved in to start baleing. Between the uncles and the custom crew, there were two of everything. 2 tedders, 2 big gyro rakes, 2 round balers. 2 loader tractors, and 2 tractor trailers. One of the uncles started mowing up on the flats in front of the sugarbush this morning, a 52A field. Slight chance of rain tomarrow. I'm not sure how manny bales were made and trucked to the sausage tuber today.
Charlie the spray guy was also spraying the corn and soybeans on adjacent strips, so there was equipment going in all directions today.
I managed to take care of my mowing chores today across from the house with my Kubota B2150 also, as seen in the last pic.

Nice pictures, your area looks a lot like it is here with rolling hills. I don't have as much equipment but I baled 57 bales this afternoon.

Got my 1 field in today. Makes my paltry hayin operation look paltry......like it is. Nice pics and crop.

One of the big outfits around here mowed yesterday. We're not even thinking about it yet. Have a few other projects to finish first. The 30 acres we rented from a neighbor (new seeding), looks real nice. A few around the home acreage will likely get worked under after first cutting, don't look like much. Only when we get to it will we actually know what we end up with.

Great photos.

It is so flat here in contrast to your area. Those hills must make handling round bales quite a bit trickier than here (where they will just sit wherever you drop 'em).

We need to be starting. Its been muddy for over a month. Yesterday around 11 AM received 2.3 inch, this morning 9 AM received .90 and around 9 tonight received another .80. Two months ago was begging for rain.

Really nice to see hay making in your part of the World. Lovely rolling countryside and woods.

Question:- the bales are very green, will they heat-up in the stack?

Here in NH they call it Baleage instead of hay.

Jeff talked to the fellow who mows his hay yesterday. He said we are putting hay in, spreading manure and planting corn. We are also short one man. There's the tractor, there's the mower, you wouldn't mind mowing it yourself, would you? So Jeff mowed yesterday and I'm going out now to rake. The fellow who bales for us will be here in a couple of hours.
