Roundup from Home Desperate - not working

I bought a bottle of Roundup from Home Depot over the weekend to burn down some sod where I intend to put some raspberries and asparagus. Mixed per label directions with 6oz of 18% glyphosate per gallon of water in a hand pump sprayer. Sprayed Saturday afternoon and was dry with no dew clear up to Monday morning. As of Tuesday evening there wasn't even any signs of wilting. What gives?

Should I add a tsp of Dawn dish soap to act as a surfactant?

It may take a couple of weeks to take effect. I successfully killed a 6 foot clump of Pompass grass by spraying it with round-up over a two month period.

Glyph is not for the impatient. DO NOT go back and spot spray once you have planted - raspberries are not a fan of glyph
or 24D.

depending on the plants and the growth rate and temperature at the time of application it may be a week before they even begin to yellow, there are a few plants that it only works at certain growth stages if at all.

I sprayed a bermuda grass field to kill all early weeds 3 weeks ago. It just stared turning a few days ago. Roundup does take time especially if the weather is cool.

As stated, patience. It takes time but it does it's job for a year usually. I buy the 41% or there abouts and mix it 1-2%. Works for me.

I was told that round-up dont work well in cold weather, but in saying that i have used it
before and it took like 7 to 10 days before i started seeing results

It has NEVER worked for me, will not mess with it any more, all the way from like you bought to the gallons I bought from chemical dealer and I applied according to directions to profeshnal applicator that I found out later did not follow directions and used an illeagal mixture. And spring or late summer no difference.

Thanks everyone, I noticed some wilting and yellowing this afternoon. I guess I was expecting results more like 2,4-d where it's wilting before you've finished. I have a mix of grass, clover, and a bit of alfalfa here where berries are going. I probably should have waited a year but got impatient. Should have prepped planting area this year and planted next year. I hate using chemicals but I have too much $$$ in these plants to risk having them lost to the grass and weeds.

Now imagine that on a scale of hundreds,if not thousands of acres and put yourself in our shoes.
