ok don't laugh but yes I still have a LG VX5600 model flip phone that is loaded with alot of very cool tractors and tractor show pictures and I have no idea how to get on my new android tablet so I could post them here to share with you can anyone help? thanks

I did a search for you and found the following post by Nancy Huston on Howardforums. You can get Bitpim on SourceForge.net

"GETTING YOUR PHOTOS FROM LGVX5600 TO pc
VICTORY!! FINALLY!! I have just gotten all my photos off my phone and onto my PC thanks to all you smart people out there. My phone is the LGvx5600.

I cannot thank you enough. It was a joint effort between your advice to download bitpim, and the advice of some frustrated person in the verizonwireless community.

So first, DOWNLOAD BITPIM!

I opened bitpim.
I Connected my phone via the USB cord. ON THE BITPIM SCREEN, at the bottom, was "other CDMA phone on COM3 detected). That meant my phone was seen (my jargon, go with me here!) AND TOLD ME WHICH PORT it was seen on!

Then I went to EDIT, then under that 'SETTINGS.'

I CHOSE LGvx9100(env2). (choosing LXvx5500 or 5400 did not work for me, it gave me photos in text format)

Under that, I CHOSE COM3 for my port.

NEXT TO THOSE 2 CHOICES IS PHONE WIZARD. CLICK ON PHONE WIZARD!

Under MANUFACTURERS, CLICK ON LG.
NEXT TO THAT SECTION IS THE LIST OF ALL THEIR PHONES - CLICK ON LGvx9100 (env2)

Then at the bottom CLICK 'NEXT' - NOW a PORT OR PORTS SHOW UP. CHOOSE THE SAME PORT THAT BITPIM SAYS IT FOUND YOUR PHONE ON - for me that was COM3 - then CLICK NEXT

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT - next box ('Summary') DO NOT CLICK ON 'DETECT PHONE' !!!

INSTEAD...JUST CLICK ON 'FINISH' AT THE BOTTOM!

and then CLICK 'OK' on the settings box that you now see. You're almost there!

NOW - go up to the top left to 'DATA' and the dropdown to 'GET PHONE DATA' and click on it!

New box will show 3 columns. Left column of boxes, CHECK THE 'WALLPAPER' BOX. This gets all your photos.
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE OTHER 2 COLUMNS, don't bother choosing 'add" etc, ignore those - those are bitpim's own settings.

note: I tried getting my contacts transferred at the same time as the photos and got an error message, so I'll worry about those later. For now, JUST GET YOUR PHOTOS!

Back to that:

At the lower left of the bitpim screen a RED CIRCLE APPEARS - this means BITPIM is now working on it.

WHEN IT TURNS GREEN...

CLICK on MEDIA and - for me, several choices came up including - oddly - two 'IMAGES' - the lst one was empty. The SECOND 'IMAGES' - for me, THERE THEY ALL WERE!!!! MORE THAN 90 PHOTOS OF MY LITTLE GRANDSON GOING BACK TWO YEARS!

I saved each photo, one at a time.

I right-clicked each one, then clicked SAVE, and saved each one into a Desktop folder. That way when it was through, I could look at my phone and make sure I got every single photo, and I did!

HALLELUJAH! That said, SHAME ON LG AND ESPECIALLY VERIZON WIRELESS for any of us to have to go through so much ridiculous b.s. to get something they advertised we could have! I have been trying to get these pictures from my phone since September. In that time, I spent hours, literally, in their helpful "chat" screen getting wrong information, including the purchase of a $30 completely useless simcard thing.

thank you everyone who is so much smarter than I am about these things!

You can have any AT&T compatible phone, with 'Consumers Cellular' service for $20.mo,, additional phones $10 ea. Your phone, they just send a simm card.

(quoted from post at 18:08:53 03/08/15) Im not laughin, i still use a flip phone and my favorite part is its only $45/mth!

I pay $30 per YEAR on my flip phone on Pageplus, more than I use. Ranch phone is a Motorola Barrage. Town phone was on Pageplus, but I recently switched it to Tracfone. First year including the new smartphone and year of service is $130, next year will be $85 to $100 for the year card, for more than I use. I could just have one, but I like the tough one for work and now like calving I don't worry about getting it dirty or broken. Town phone for looking stuff up, Tracfone has a little data at that price if I don't get to free wifi at McDonalds. No AT&T, Tmobile, or Sprint in most of the state except roaming.

I still use a Samsung Convoy 2 flip phone and enjoy it very much. I plan on getting a new Convoy 3 flip phone for my next one. They work great for me. I am not one of those techy junkies that lives on there phone 24hrs a day.

I have an LG flip phone also, and what few pictures I have taken I got a microSD card which fit the phone, and transferred the pictures to it, then to my computer.

I have a Samsung Convoy 2. I plug the USB cord into my computer (Windows 7 version). When the screen on the phone asks what USB mode you want, click USB Mass storage.
When you do that and left click on the windows symbol at the lower left corner of the screen to get the start menu, when all the choices come up, left click on computer and the phone will show up as a removable disk. Double left click on that, and the window will show you 5 categories. One of them will be "my pictures" left click on that and you will be able to do what ever you want with your pictures.

have a flip also, not into all that fancy stuff on new ones, just use mine to talk tx take pics. if i want them on my computer i e-mail to my neice and she sends them, e-mail to my computer...

Hello howard parker,

Your phone has a blue tooth function. You can transfer the photos to your computer that way. If not, have some one put them on a memory stick compatible to your system,

Guido.

If you can email them to your niece, then you can email them to your email address and eliminate the "middle man".

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 206
pictures on it now maybe I can figure out how to post some
on here Thanks Howard

Yeah , my Verizon prepaid flip phone is $100 a year , I've never run out of minutes....
