had a generator go through 1/2 mile from my place,...330 ft. long,..20 ft. wide, 15 ft. tall and 959,000 pounds,....,that would test the pulling power of a super M...LOL

Yep, saw that rig in Mount Vernon, Ohio. They have two more just like it to go in February. Had a lot of trouble with equipment this time. The pusher truck broke down on the road, they had RT 36 blocked until another truck was brought in . Had to spend the night off on RT 715, then back out onto RT 36.You must not be too far from where I live.

Forgot, the news paper article said it weighs 489,000 pounds. The ROUTE IT IS TAKING IS 36 east to I-77 south to Bellaire, Ohio. There it will be put on a barge and sent down the river. Final destination is an oil field off the coast of Congo.

That would be interesting to watch.
Local cop who's a friend of mine told me about some similar sized loads that have gone through town around 3 a.m.- windmill (generator) parts.

Yup, I got behind the line coming down I-77 this afternoon. They pulled over at Kimbolton exit and let all the traffic pass. Made me 10 minutes late for my appointment in Caldwell.

Got behind a similar load 15 or so years ago, I-80 west of Salt Lake City. Some kind of equip for the Nev gold mines. State trooper running tail gunner was chattin on the cb. Said 1,500,000#, 256 tires under it, had gotten up to 15 mph a few times. They had power units & an operator on each axle for individual steering. They had built pull-out pads every few miles to let traffic get by. Were going to get off the big raod at Nev border & head out cross country on state roads.
