So this is my farm truck.. Not an every day driver yet its also my toy truck.. has a 2-2.5 lift..etc..etc. Question is I have 265 75 16 on it now that have a somewhat aggressive tread... they look a little small on the truck .. want to move to a 305 or there abouts any suggestions on what you folks have had luck with as far as mileage, noise, etc..etc??

I have never owned a 3/4 ton truck, but years ago I ran large aggressive tires on my 1/2 ton truck. I finally learned to match tires to the task. Most of my driving was highway at highway speeds which were far from ideal for larger aggressive tires. The last couple years I had that pickup I went the opposite direction and put a set of all season 235/75 radials on it, and the truck rode and drove much more to my liking. Noise was gone, and it just worked better all around that it did with the oversize aggressive tread tires. Of course if you spend most of your time off road or on the farm, tire noise and ride are not nearly as critical. I also found that tire life is not good on most of the aggressive tires, but that might not be a concern if off road most of the time.

I have 5 trucks 1/2 to 1 ton.
OnIy my wife's daiIy dr truck gets new aII season new tires when her oId tires are worn.
On my other trucks I sIap on whatever haIf decent tires i can find at the dump, i don't care what make or tread as Iong as they hoId air :D

most of the time we found it was best to stick with 285's on those. Withyour mild lift kit I have seen guys have to cut off about 12" of the bottom of the bumper to get them to turn using 305's.

i have an 08 f25o--it has 265-75r 17 0n it. the best mileage i have gotten is 14 mpg. i get 13 mpg with a full load of firewood on it--i have 3.73? rears

I have 285 75 16 on my F250, OEM size is 265 75 16.

Tires looks good on it, no issues, no lift either.
