Door guys were here today, after they got lost with their GPS. Anyway, they got the doors in today. Last part of the project. Except grading down the floor and adding some more sand/gravel. Too frozen to do anything for a while. So I'm going to move machinery in as soon as I get over the flu. Dirt work will have to wait for summer. At least now I don't have to worry about the horses getting out, (come to think of it, we don't have any horses).

Looks good enough to me. When it thaws in the spring it might be a little mushy if there is snow on the ground inside but after it dries it will be dry forever. Hope you get over the flu too. Jim

Assessor has been here already. He looked at partially finished building, wanted to measure it - told him I could save him the trouble, told him the dimensions. Took a picture, and left. Sure it's already on the tax rolls.

48' x 96', over 12' clearance inside. Doors are 16' wide, 11 feet high. Should easily accommodate any machine I have. Won't have to duck going through door. We set up a grid on one of wife's sewing cutout grids. Made paper cutouts to represent machines. Should accommodate all the stuff I have. Maybe some creative placements! Maybe I should say I built as big as I could afford!

They don't care what it cost, they charge you by the square foot for taxes. That's what the county told me when I complained that they assessed my machine shed for more than i paid for it.

Yep,anything that's there on December 31st goes on.
I had December Board of Review Monday. I told the assessor about the one I tore down and replaced. About drove her nuts when I told her I reused as much old material as I could. They don't quite know how to depreciate it when you do that. lol
