My 4010 Will not Accelerate Quick. It Finally Will Pick Up speed. Then When I Slow The engine Down, it will Sometimes Die. I changed The Fuel Filters. No different. I Unhooked The Hand Throttle &it Did The Same Thing. It Has Worked Fine ,before This Started Happening a Couple Months Ago .It Runs Fine Otherwise. It has a Roosa Injector Pump. Any Help Appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dick

Crack the fitting loose on the return line to the injector pump and see if that makes a difference, if so the ring is failing in the pump.

Take the two screw timing cover plate loose allowing fuel to leave the housing, if it runs then the pump needs serviced. The return line and/or cover fitting is probably plugged with weight retainer bits, looks like coffee grounds. If the fitting is plugged taking the line off will not show anything, that's why I prefer the timing cover. Just repaired a 4020 for the same trouble.
