Chorse More Fun Here

34º here with wind gusts over 30 mph. Not much of a gap between gusts. They are calling it a wind chill of 23º. Leather gloves don't help much on the fingers. Still more fun than North of here in Michigan. No snow yet here although we are suppose to get some.

Guess it depends on where you are here in Michigan. I don't know how any of the weather liars in the Grand Rapids or Lansing media markets could show their faces on TV after last night's panic attack. I heard one actually use the word dangerous in the forecast for today. What a joke. It sprinkled a little this morning and again around noon. As far as wind,we had more wind last Saturday. It's cold, like that never happened before. Dangerous? Only if you had plans to sit outside neked. Even then,I'd just say a little uncomfortable.

I am about 35 miles west of you in MI and we had a little snow about 5:00 PM or as my friend from the UP calls it albino mosquitoes.
steve another AC guy.

Toledo reported snow in Hillsdale about seven this evening. Said we should have some later tonight. Only a half inch or so for us. Should be clear tomorrow so I hope to get some more fence put up. Need to build a coupla gates soon.

At least you are having phun-something to talk about. Here it has rained pretty much every day for the last 4 weeks. Gots about 8 hrs, of sun in that time.. Drags me down + I'm solar powered ! HPH

This was the first cold snap with wet wind and I felt the urge try for sympathy. Any sympathy that might seep my way I'll send on to you as you needs it a whole bunch more than me with that weather.

I've gotta pour some concrete tomorrow. I hauled manure today and got the spot where the concrete needs to be cleaned up.

Hurry up grasshopper. Amazing how much work you can get done in a hurry when you start to run out of good weather. May the weather hold off until your done.

Ya,I've had my back against the wall since Labor Day. I needed to get the hay finished. I knew if we got to October there wasn't a prayer of getting it dry and the weather wasn't co operating. When that was done I went right non stop to silo filling, then right on to this barn. When the concrete cures enough, there are some cattle in another barn that need to be moved in to it,then I have to take down the end wall from the lean to that's already down,I have to build a back stop to push manure against when I clean that lot and I have to pour another 8x20 strip of concrete along the edge of that. Then I can wean calves and pick corn.
I hoped beyond all hope that the weather liars were right so I could take a nap and recuperate a little, but that didn't even work out.
