Watched a local TV news show this morning. Guess nobody wanted to go out and find an actual news story --- so they were showing the latest postings on Facebook! Changed channels real fast. The world seems to get more ridiculous ever day!

Ya,and I just saw on the news here,where facebook is monitoring the TV shows you watch on your devices and reporting that to Neilson like it's an invasion of privacy. DON'T GO ON THERE THEN! Seems pretty simple to me.

But ya,they go from a 15 minute newscast 50 years ago to 7-8 hours a day now and fill it up with nothing but fluff and "celebrity news".

One reason as to why I watch ZERO television anymore. The news is crap, the shows are crap. I am on the puter. I can pick what to see on youtube, and read YTMAG. What a life.

Remember when the news was a 15-minute program, with NO commercials? Came on at 5:00 sharp and ended with a weather report. Just the facts, no sensationalism, and no frills.
Seems that the National Enquirer has taken over the newscasts.

yes, i totally agree, it has been crap for years. i guess out of habit i use it for background noise, but then we mute it, then a lot of the times we just turn it off. some... day... we want to get a better antenna so we can get pbs. and ya gotta have one to play Nintendo, i mean, someones got to save the princess.

Yeah, I refuse to watch three minutes of commercials just for one minute of "news", so I quit watching. I get more real news on my computer.
