Ih 544 shift linkage

I have only 1st and reverse for my ih544. All gears did work up till about 2 months ago. I have no idea why the linkage is now not able to slide over to the other selections. Any thoughts about how to start troubleshooting this problem?

Most likely the problem is that pin #22 has slipped out of place not allowing the shaft #21 to slide through the gates #43.

I can see the pin 22 sliding into the gate 43 but then it will not slide any further. It will not move to the 2-3 gear or the 4-5 gear actuator. It does move out of the R-1 actuator. All of the parts are snug and tight. I sprayed a lubricant but it hasn't made a difference. Thoughts? Thanks!

The PIN number 22 is not moving thru the shaft. I was going to adjust it or take it out completely but it will not move at all. It does slide into the first gate so does that mean it may not be the problem?
