SWMBO just saw a snake crawl up into the engine compartment of her car. After much screaming and jumping around she has directed me to get the snake out. At first I could see it but now I think it has crawled into the box frame. I don't really want to start the engine because I'm afraid it will get in the belt. ANY IDEAS? Thanks, Ellis

I know you don't want to start it but what else can you do? Do you have any idea what kind of snake it is? I would probably start it and drive into some deep (enough) water. If it's in the frame it may actually like it there and really be hard to get out. The other problem is that unless you see it come out you, or primarily, the one who drives the car won't believe it anyway!

At least that car likely doesn't have any entrances to the inside that it can get into. If it isn't a poisonous snake I wouldn't worry a lot about it.

Well, SWMBO is the genius in the family. I did put a ghetto blaster in the car over night, but she sprinkled sawdust in a circle on the garage floor and this morning there was a brushed away place on the floor. Ellis
