OK, OK. So I finally broke down an bought a Oilallover. Well, sort of . Like, its a White. 2-70, with a loader. 3100 hours. Loader much newer, and barely used. From an estate sale. Anybody got a good op's manual for it?? And the loader- 2840 QT Bush Hog?

donjr, That Rig is worth is weight in Gold, IMO. 70 hp, Open station, easy to work on Great useability on any Farm/Ranch ANYWHERE!
Only thing to add is an 18in extension on the muffler, to keep exhaust gases out out of your face!

That's a great looking rig. I hope it really works well for you.

A big White tractor (I don' know models but it was supposed to be somewhere around 85 HP) recently sold at an auction near here.

As far as I could find out, the local Massey Ferguson / AGCO dealer was the only source for parts for White tractors.

Do you have a reliable source for parts near you?

My Dad didn't know any other way than the hard way. He certainly couldn't afford labor saving devices, so we made do with manual labor.

That should be a real nice rig! My friend Jeff just bought a 2-85 this winter with about the same hours and it seems like a real nice tractor. You will find that shifting is much easier done with the over/under in under drive. That is the only thing that I found that is a bit hard to get used to. I'm used to cases and the power shift always goes to low when you hit the clutch on those. On the White, they can have pressure on the gears in direct or over drive which can make it hard to get out of gear.

I'm not sure if they have them for the whites, but it might be worth a try

I wouldn't get too rough with that loader with no suports running to the rear axle it puts a lot of pressure on the tub frame.
