Plumbing a loader joystick into a 1969 deere 4520

I have a 1969 deere 4520 and am putting a 260 loader on it. Came with a joystick. Looking to find out where to get hydro power and a return. Think there is a case drain also. And what size bolts do I need to mount the frame. Guessing 3/4

Smaller 20 series have an elbow forward of the brake pedals, on a hyd line that feeds constant oil to the rockshaft. Replace the elbow with a T, run a line to your joystick. Return line goes to a ported filter cover, or drill/tap the cover with pipe thread. There"s also another spot to return on the left side...others can be more specific.

I think JSM is thinking about early model 20 series tractors. Since your tractor is a console a power beyond plate underneath your LH SCV will fix you right up with pressure and return. You'll just plumb in your JS from there. Easy as pie.

There are aftermarket power beyond plates on ebay for a reasonable fee or you can buy the kit from Deere but it'll set you back a few $$$$$.

For pressure supply either install a PBY block as previously stated or tee into either fitting(parts key #2 or #13)

then route return to ported filter cover

I have looked at several side consoles and have never been able to find the elbow that you always speek of on the "smaller" models. Is this just pre-69 20 series?

(quoted from post at 12:32:06 04/29/14) I have looked at several side consoles and have never been able to find the elbow that you always speek of on the "smaller" models.

The reason you can't find the elbow in frt of brake valve on a console model is "it isn't there"!!!!!!!!!!! Side console model hyd pipes/fittings will be similar to photo I posted.
