Super Dextra axle: can I swap with other ford models?

I'm looking to see if I can fix or replace a rear axle on a Fordson Super Dextra tractor. Will other axles from an N series or 600, 800 or Jubilee fit this tractor?

The axle behind the brake drum is broken, I'm going to pull it off and see if I can have it welded. Best fox would be a complete swap, I want to increase my odds of finding on.

don't think the axle off an N or 600/800 series would work, but a 3000 might... can't say for certain though, never really looked at them that closely... but the super dexta and 3000 were built in the same plants, so it is possible they might fit...

Should be able to go to the New Holland website and look up the part # for your dexta axle and various other tractors.

I read your post above- are you talking about a broken axle, or broken axle housing? The axle is the round shaft made of machined steel, that the wheel is bolted to, and is never made of cast anything. The axle housing is usually cast iron, and I think that's what you're talking about. Best clarify the situation to get good answers.

And while we're about it, for better results in Googling, its Dexta, not Dextra.
