OT - pickup truck part question

Ok, so I know this is kind of a dumb question, but I don't know the answer and I can't find it on the net...

I have some front end parts that came with a 2003 Ford E350 that I bought. The previous owner threw them in the deal, saying that he had planned on replacing the existing parts. A buddy took a look at them and said that they are for 18" wheels which would mean buying new tires and rims, which I am not about to do, so I want to sell them.

So, here's the sticky part. I am no vehicle mechanic. I mess around a little with our tractors but know very little about cars, trucks, etc.

So i know there is a set of rotors and calipers. But what are the other parts in the picture called?

I wouldn't think the size wheels would make a difference on brake parts.
If the van needs the brakes replaced , I would double-check on the parts you have before you sell them and then have to purchase more to replace the brakes later.

You have front spindles, bearing assemblies with rotors, and calipers.

I think your buddy is not well informed on these parts. The rotors would not be different for 18" wheels.

I looked on line they only list one size of rotors for a E350. They all would be 13" in diameter. They would be eight bolt hubs and wheels.

The brake rotors and calipers are under a $100 new. Brake parts are getting cheaper.

I would keep them or at least pull the front wheels off one side of your van and compare them. I think they are all the same. Some sales guys will tell the biggest lies about stuff just to sell more parts. Your buddy maybe just repeating what he was told in error.

The only thing that may be different is the bolt pattern if they are not from the same year. Ford changed the 8 bolt pattern somewhere around 05 I think and went up to a 17" rim.

Im pretty sure all the E250-E350 vans ran 16" wheels throughout the years, at least from the 80's up to 2010 or so. Sometimes OEM's upped the wheel size to fit bigger brakes but its not the case on the E-vans. Ford has a unique 8 lug bolt pattern for the super duty trucks, metric pattern, metric lugs (changed in 99+ trucks, 8-170mm. pattern) but they never changed over the vans. The E series vans still used the old typical 8-6.5" bolt pattern.
