O/T Just finished another archery tournament with the boy.

Well I almost just got schooled by my 9yr old at the tourny tonight. It was my first one in 20yrs and his second in 2 weeks. I shot a 495 and he shot 486 out of 600. We won't find out how we placed for a week or so till the tally the scores for the different divisions. But he really had me sweating it. N ow I'm going to have to really get off my AZZ and up my game. Oh and I had to use the Case 222 tractor to plow snow to get to the car to loaded it this morning. I'm SOOOOOOOO DONE WITH WINTER!!!!!!! Trucker

Don't worry. It is a little hard at first. You will get used to it. Him kicking your but that is.
I got use to my two boys kicking mine. Now my youngest schools me at my game, trapshooting.

Well, you gotta set the ground work early while his brain is still forming.

You have to get him to believe that you get an automatic 50 "old man points", and that's just a simple fact of life.

He'll get them too when he's your age, so he can't complain.

The boy has no fear. You are at a distinct disadvantage.

I like to lob arrows out to about 70 yds. 20 yds is to easy, until you are trying to hit a x ring indoors. Then 20 yds becomes quite the challenge again.

Put a golf club or a bow in a boys hand and you usually end up with a good kid.
