Thought for today....

"He who never did anything never made a mistake"

So I make a lot of mistakes and people think I do a lot of work. LOL

I did very little today, therefore,I made very few mistakes. First mistake was getting out of bed.
Sam, all joking aside, that is an interesting thought, and true.

that's what dad told me when my muddy ft slipped off the clutch and I lurched his new 69 ford truck into the side of the barn ,,.. I certainly was upset with myself ,he just got the truck in sept of 68,,i had just turned 12 ,,and we were pikin up sacks of potatoes. I was the truck driver . I was backin up to the grader we had in the barn ,,,,I had the tailend close enuf ,as Dad said "that's fine" , but" I" decided to try to get it better to save a few steps in the mud .. ...

My dad used to say that all the time but the other way around. He would say "The only people who don't make mistakes are the ones who don't do anything". Which was usually followed by "make em fast and fix em fast". lol

So true. Learned that from an old boss 40 years ago. He also taught us that the more challenging
projects we tackled, the more we would naturally make some mistakes and thus the more we would learn.

He had another very good saying too.

When you retire will you have 40 years of experience or just one year of experience 40 times?

Think about it.
