We went to the beach today to have lunch (me, wife, boy, and dog). Alpena, Michigan. Can't hardly see Lake Huron through the snow banks. Been 0 to 10 degrees this week. Some guy drove his Ford truck out on the ice to get his ice fishing shanty out there and it fell through the ice. Not quite thick enough yet.
I was told it hasn't hardly snowed in northern MI for a few years. So, we decided to try a winter in MI instead of NY. It has snowed just about every day for three weeks and I've already plowed the road we're on about 40 times. Not great timing I guess.
The "beach" photos are Lake Huron in Alpena, MI. The photo with the hills and sun is our place in NY. One of those rare winter days when the sun comes out for one minute.
