running 8n with pto engaged and lift up.There is quite a bit of fluid movement directly above the pump itself-not bubbles, just movement of liquid. The fluid behind the pump is quite still. Was wondering if this is normal or not? Thanks, have been working on weak lift and replaced relief valve so far.

Normal, as result of scotch yoke parts moving about as they must.

pretty normal to see a fluid swirl above that pump, just from the pump action. while you are looking, put a load on & raise, look for fluid running down from top cover-outa lift cyl.

Can be real hard to gauge how much movement is to much. I had an 8N a few years back that had movement and found that the pump gasket had blown out and it would not lift a brush hog unless I helped it
