Thanks for the pictures - really an interesting affair.

How so you get the sap pressed out of the cane? I've seen pictures before of mules walking in circles powering presses, but I don't see anything that I can identify as a press.

Man, you folks really make a day of it, don't you! A somewhat unique way to have a family get together. Do you have a pig-pickin' at the same time? I love the old airplanes, looks like you have a neat landing strip.
 
Tom, this is the way my Dad use to make syrup yr. ago. These pic. was made at Henderson Tx. syrup festival. We still have the mill that press the juice out of the cane.
