750w block heater

I plugged in a 750w 120v block heater in a cummins to test it but no coolant in engine. It got hot fast and I unplugged it in a minute. But it will not work now. Did I screw up, cook it? It wasn't long but I think I did.
 
That would be the same as running a electric hot water heater without water in it. It ruins the heat elements in short order.

I"d say you most likely fried the element.

Do a continuity test on it with a voltage meter. If the element is bad it will not conduct electricity through it.

let it cool down thoroughly, then try again. if it heats in your hand, then it's still working, if not, education costs money...
