Just now, before Monday Night Football, a military man sang the National Anthem as it should be sung. He didn't add any flourishes or extra notes. And he knew all the words.
 
Went to a semi-final playoff between the Aberdeen Ironbirds and the Tri-city Valleycats a couple of weeks ago, and the Anthem was presented by one of the Ironbird pitchers. Excellent performance, great voice. Don't know how well he pitches, but he has a second career if he wants one!
