I need get a nice utility vehicle to use for landscape type spraying and for riding woodland trails and hauling hay and general mainenance chores. My wife doesn't like the noise of the john deere or the smell of diesel("Nothing runs like a deere...or smells like a john!). Does anyone know which of these many types tends to run more quietly. Tested a JD 625i and it drove her(and me)crazy with the drone and racket. Thanks

Brad KUBOTA makes a GAS 500 model that is not bad BUT not in the class with the 900 diesel. IF SHE ever had a diesel 90 with power steering and dump bed for tow or three days you could not take it away from her.

I see Polaris has a 800 or 900 diesel hydrostatic now with PTO and hydraulics, you can put a loader arm on it even.

Honda knocked the Big Red in the head, replacing it with the Frontier. Slower gears (top speed 43), relocated intake, completely new frame, and the exhaust is completely insulated.

Polaris"s 500 Ranger will fit in a full-size truck bed. You lose a lot of capacity when you go to the 900 from the 800 for not a lot of added power.

I've got a Kawasaki Mule, and it's pretty quiet. Nice little putt-putt. If you want really quiet, look at an electric rig.
