Been getting dryer and dryer since the rain started to turn off in mid June. The drought broke yesterday. I had 2.1 yesterday morning and 1.8 last night.

The pastures were pretty crispy and I'd been feeding dry hay for about a week and a half. I was about to go ahead and take what I could get for a cutting of hay before the days got too short, but I think it just might do some more growing now with that much moisture.

I watched those big thunder bumpers on Green Bay's radar as they went across the pond toward you. Glad you got some rain.

You and me both. All the good stuff had been just missing us. Looks like the one yesterday morning hit a streak right over me about the heaviest. The county Farm Bureau annual meeting was last night. Guys about 8-10 miles west of me were saying a half inch. My cousin just two miles east had 1.9. Guys about 5 miles south said just under an inch. Another guy 6 miles straight north had 2 inches.

Yep, I was eyeing those also and thinkin about you last night....a little jealous too....
Glad you got some much needed moisture Randy.

Got about a half inch the first time and close to 3in the second time.

Monday I was planting a field to alfalfa and ran out of seed. Was going to get more Tuesday and finish but it rained me off. But I'm not complaining we sorely needed it.
