Hey, MeAnthony....

Hi Bob,

Yes I did check the shroud again but there"s nothing there. I looked on the inside also, in case it had been stamped but heavily painted over, thinking the indents from stamping would appear as bumps in the inside. But no dice.

More Googling brought me to the repair manual listed below. Down about page 35 it shows a couple different styles of intake manifold. One picture, titled "Early Intake Style Manifold(pre-Twin II manifold(Type Nos. under 1100)) matches mine exactly. So I think that puts me in the ballpark...somewhere. I haven"t had time to research "Twin II" or "Type Nos. under 1100" to determine approximate age yet though.

There was a flat disk, maybe 2" diameter, mounted on top of the flywheel screen and bolted to the flywheel with two bolts. Perpendicular to these bolts are two welded nuts. My guess is that another pulley was attached on top of the flywheel for a continuous duty application(like drive system on mower), as opposed to an intermittent duty application operated by the pulley with the electric clutch(like the mower deck itself)?

Thanks much, I appreciate your input.

Anthony
