radiator stop leak products

Will the products available for stopping leaks in a radiator work on a thermosyphon system? I've had some luck with them on systems with water pumps but never tried on a system with out a pump.

When I put it in my thermo-syphon system, it seemed like a good idea to mix it with the coolant before I put it in the radiator so I did. It did plug the leaks completely

You can never go wrong by simply REPAIRING the leak. Saves a WHOLE LOT of mess down the road!

Some time ago, I put intake gaskets in my 1999 Monte Carlo parts runner that a PO had dumped LOTS of magic gunk in and, after several flushes and changes of coolant, I noticed yesterday there"s a bunch of clumps of crud in the coolant recovery tank AGAIN.

They will seal, but if you ever go in the water passages of a tractor with thermosyphon that has had them used, you will never use them again! With no pressure the dispersal is almost nil, you will have whole Mountain ranges of the stuff piled up in the low points!

Water was seeping into the cylinders on my 1948 JD A. Had to open the petcocks and drain before starting. James put a medium sized can of black pepper in it after it had been working a while and water had gotten warm. Then worked it some more.

Sealed the leaks completely.

Can of pepper cost about $3.50.

Not sure what this was but it looked sort of like saw dust. This is what I dug out of my jeep's thermostat housing after a 10 year long barn find nap.

I'm not much on seasoning my coolant.
