Sturgis trip coming up.

Any of you guys in SD, NE or western Iowa? We are heading out to Sturgis here in August and I was just wondering who may be from that general area.

I'm 80 miles north of Sioux Falls. Other then the
Terry Redlin Art Center in Watertown there's not
much to see up here. We will be having our local
town fest August 10-11. Car show, fire dept supper
and live band Saturday afternoon/evening and tractor
show/pull Sunday.

If you are on I-80 near Mitchel, he Corn Palace is interesting. The entire façade is made of grains, grasses, corn cobs, etc. The "mural/theme" changes every year.

I 80 is in southern Iowa and goes thru Omaha. I 90 is in SD.

I'm 10 miles off of High way 20, right on the Niobrara river. 30 miles west of Valentine. Ya gotta stop and tube the river!!!

All the years I drove semi, I loved Sturgis week. The bikes going to or coming from Sturgis when passing me ,lots of times the gals on the back would raise their shirts! Always made the drive interesting.

Spent the night in Valentine after spending the afternoon in Wall drug north toward Sturgis.
Beautiful country and great folks. Hope to go back this fall.

Anyone on their way to Sturgis is welcome to stop at Sidney, Iowa about 10 miles off of I-29 July 30-August 3 for the 90th annual Sidney Iowa PRCA Rodeo owned and operated by American Legion Post 128. There is free parking for motorcycles on the south side of the street from the Sidney water tower and free 40 acres of parking for cars and trucks just beyond the motorcycle parking. The Keg Creek Antique Machinery Club will have a tractor drive starting off at 12:00 noon Saturday August 3, rodeo parade at 4:00pm, and an Antique Tractor Show starting at 5:30 after the rodeo parade. The Saturday night performance of the rodeo begins promptly at 8:00pm and for anyone with lots of energy left after the rodeo there is a band and a dance in the arena!!

South Dakota Tractor Museum at Kimball, SD just south of I80
is worth a stop. Make sure to check out the fencerow stuff
outside.
