working so much, never had a chance to ride, finally was able to, kept battery charged, went to start,, rats, batery won"t start, well, to the bike shop for new batt, installed new one,, let the rides begin,,,

What kind of charger did you use to keep the battery charged. I use a "Battery Butler" and it has kept my mower and MC battery in great shape for many years. I used to replace the bike battery every two years. This battery is four years old now and cranks over the bike great. I do keep it on the charger full time when I'm not going to be riding for a while.
First ride of the year is always special!!!

I sure haven't rode much this year rains everday but my battery is charged just in case it stops.

I keep a cheap battery tender on my Sportster that I bought at Harbor Tools for $8.00 Going on 4 years. My bike is wintered in a non heated shed.
