Tachometer not working

I have 706-D, and the tach does not work. The cable does not spin, so removed it from where it screws into the tach drive, and I have no action there either. Does anyone know how this disassembles, you can still get parts from Case-IH, but no one knows how it comes apart on this jewel? Thanks.

D-282, you screw out the drive from adaptor housing and then you tap the adaptor out of the crankcase as it is a light press fit into block. It also supports the top end of oil pump shaft.

D-310 you just unscrew it from front plate and it has a slot in center of gear or shaft that a short flat bladed shaft drives the angled gear.

Yes, this is on a D-282, it appears to be a bolt that holds the grease fitting, is that what is holding it in place?? My I & T manual doesn't cover any of this..
