Insurance questions on repair buisness

Hi all what do you that work on equipment have or carry for insurance??? Liability and what about inventory/loss coverage? How exspencive is it for small operators???? Seems a friend looked into it ad it was outragous. Not interested in these waviers or hold harmless.

I have a million dollar, liability and completed operations policy. Takes care of stored customer vehicles,road testing and hauling in for repairs,etc.No inventory or owned vehicles included,no coverage on my buildings or contents included on this policy. Costs about 2 grand a year.

I have a similar policy as welding man stated below except mine does cover my shop and everything inside it along with anything customer related. $2100/year.
