We saw this today in downtown Pinckneyville Illinois, sitting in a funeral home parking lot. Thought you folks would enjoy it. It was well done!

I'm from "rural" Ava.

We were in Pinckneyville today to take my step-mother-in-law to birthday dinner.

In a funeral home parking lot! Is that what they haul them in now? Put the casket in the back and the family in the mega cab. Nice looking truck though. Looks like something Ed Roth might have built.

I had my bathroom painted that color once. If you weren't awake by the time you got there you were as soon as you turned the light on! I agree, kind of boxy but neat.

The nose looks like a Brockway. A friend ran one as a log hauler for about 15 years up until about 15 years ago.

Yeah, I know Dale - I worked for his Dad when I was a kid. Dale is a good honest guy, and I've bought several things from him, too. He has a very good reputation in our area.

I was helping them dehorn and castrate cattle a couple of years ago, and a young bull got Dale down and kinda "ground" him a little before we could jump in and rescue him. He didn't hurt Dale, and by the time we got done, that bull weighed 2500 lbs, and had horns 3 feet long. On each side, ha. Dale got tired of us razzing him about that little bull. ..

Reminds me of that Johnny Cash's song where he's sneaking out parts from the cadillac factory.

I like those tail lights!

Bill, that actually may not be an antique car body. There are two or three companies that manufacture custom bodies. Either way, it looks better than some antiques that I have seen hacked up.

I agree 110% with you on Dale's honesty. I'll have to ask him about the bull episode the next time I see him.

That's the homliest, fugliest truck I've ever seen. Beauty truly must be in the eye of the beholder.
