Thanks for posting that.

I always smile and think of my mother and grandmother when I hear it- they were both "classical" musicians, and those types always look down their noses at saxophones, especially when the vibrato "meets itself coming back", as Mom once commented.

I never had the nerve to tell her that I liked it- also guitar and banjo music. She tried her best, but I just never could get into the classical thing, and never did learn to play piano worth a darn, despite her best efforts.

This version strikes close to home " Dan Fogelberg's same auld lang syne.
A lot of similarities, except the ex-fiance own's the grocery store.
Darn near a tear jerker. It's been 26 years this week. Since I found out she was engaged to somebody else, about 5 minutes before calling to ask her out for date.
12 weeks from the time she met somebody else until they were engaged.
